Volunteer Programs
Volunteer trekking program
Our volunteer trekking program is a program that combines Nepali culture, trekking and adventure, volunteer work for the good of the locals, and shopping in authentic Nepal, all together in a matter of weeks.
A day exploring Kathmandu
For over forty years, Nepal has been an extremely fascinating destination for travelers, scholars, and researchers. For those interested in culture, the Kathmandu valley, is endowed with seven World Heritage sites. This valley was divided into three kingdoms less than a century ago. It now contains countless architectural monuments, and vestiges of varied cultural and religious traditions.
Charity trip to Chitwan National Park
You will be taken on a trip of 2 nights and 3 days outside of Kathmandu valley in a place called Chitwan. Chitwan lies 148kms away from Kathmandu but don’t expect to get there in under 6 hours if travelling by bus. Chitwan is a thriving tourist destination with a lot of modern resorts and hotels.
Fundraising and grant writing
Absolute Gurkha’s fundraising and grant writing volunteer program focuses primarily on capturing resources for the continual support of its different programs. You as a volunteer would be engaging in the writing of comprehensive proposals that will be sent to numerous organizations, in the hopes of support – monetary or not.
Relief aid distribution trip
Immediately after the massive earthquake, Absolute Gurkha has provided relief aid supplies such as, food, medicines, hygiene & sanitation, warm clothing and stationery in more than 30 villages and the process goes on. In this two week volunteer program, you will be able to join one of our relief aid trips and gain an experience.
Community health and medical care
Absolute Gurkha’s Community Health & Medical Care program aims to improve conditions through relevant education, services and public awareness programs. The volunteers’ skills and interests, as well as the assessed needs of the community, will act as a guide to making each program relevant and beneficial.
Teaching english in community school
English Teaching in Nepali Community Schools program targets international volunteers who are looking to take part in a hands-on, Nepali classroom experience. In these local schools, you as a volunteer will not only teach the English language, but will also engage in an effort to teach the children how to apply those language skills in various extracurricular activities.
